Description
The 1992 Great Britain silver ten pence coin refers to specific collector versions issued by the Royal Mint, as the standard circulation coins of that year were made of copper-nickel. In 1992, the ten pence coin was reduced in size, so two different sizes were issued for collector sets.
- Obverse: Features the third crowned portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, facing right, engraved by Raphael David Maklouf, with the legend “ELIZABETH II D·G·REG·F·D·1992”.
- Reverse: Displays part of the crest of England, a lion passant guardant royally crowned, with the denomination “TEN PENCE” above and “10” below, a design by Christopher Ironside.
- Edge: Both versions have a reeded edge.
